Dilly Dally Market Vendor Policies
Last updated: 08/20/2026
These policies apply to all vendors participating in a Dilly Dally Market event. By applying, submitting payment, or participating in an event, vendors acknowledge that they have read and agreed to these policies.
Individual events may have additional venue-specific requirements. Any additional requirements will be communicated to accepted vendors before the event.
1. Vendor Applications and Acceptance
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into a Dilly Dally Market.
Applications are reviewed based on product quality, originality, professionalism, market fit, available space, and the overall variety of vendors. Dilly Dally Market may limit the number of businesses offering similar products.
Acceptance applies only to the business, products, and event listed in the application. Vendors may not transfer, share, sell, or give their booth space to another business without written approval.
Dilly Dally Market reserves the right to accept or decline any application when necessary to maintain the quality, safety, and overall balance of the event.
2. Approved Products
Vendors may sell only the products or services described in their approved application.
Any major additions or changes must be approved before the event. This includes adding products from another business, sharing a booth, introducing food or beverage items, or offering services that were not originally disclosed.
Counterfeit merchandise, illegal products, recalled products, weapons, unsafe items, and products containing offensive, discriminatory, or hateful content are prohibited.
Approval does not guarantee that another vendor will not offer similar products. Dilly Dally Market will make reasonable efforts to create a varied market but cannot promise complete product exclusivity.
3. Booth Fees and Payment
The standard booth fee is $100 for one 10-by-10-foot booth unless a different fee or booth size is listed for a specific event.
A vendor’s space is not secured until the application has been accepted and the full booth fee has been received.
Payments must be submitted by the stated deadline. An unpaid space may be released to another vendor without additional notice.
Booth fees cover participation in the event only. Vendors are responsible for their own displays, equipment, permits, licenses, taxes, staffing, travel, accommodations, inventory, and other business expenses.
4. Cancellations, Refunds, and Credits
Vendor booth fees become nonrefundable after the first day of the month (Or the date mentioned on the application form) in which the event takes place.
If a vendor needs to cancel, written notice must be sent to Dilly Dally Market as soon as possible. Messages sent through social media comments or relayed through another vendor are not considered official notice.
Cancellations made without at least three weeks’ notice are not eligible for a refund, transfer, or event credit.
Booth fees may not be transferred to another event or another business unless Dilly Dally Market provides written approval. Any exception or credit is offered at the sole discretion of Dilly Dally Market and should not be assumed.
Illness, staffing problems, transportation issues, scheduling conflicts, low inventory, or changes in personal plans do not automatically qualify a vendor for a refund or credit.
Failure to attend an event without notice may affect acceptance into future Dilly Dally Markets.
5. Event Cancellation and Severe Weather
Dilly Dally Markets may take place indoors or outdoors and may continue during light rain, wind, heat, cold, or other manageable weather conditions.
Vendors are responsible for monitoring the forecast and bringing appropriate protection for themselves, their products, and their display.
Dilly Dally Market may delay, relocate, shorten, or cancel an event because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, venue decisions, government restrictions, emergencies, or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
If Dilly Dally Market cancels an event before it begins, vendors will be informed whether an event credit can be offered. The amount available may depend on expenses that have already been paid and cannot be recovered.
Dilly Dally Market is not responsible for lost sales, damaged inventory, travel expenses, lodging expenses, or other costs caused by a delayed, shortened, relocated, or canceled event.
6. Vendor Attendance
Accepted vendors are expected to attend the entire event.
Vendors must arrive during the assigned setup period and be completely ready to sell by the event’s advertised opening time. Late arrivals may not be permitted to drive into the vendor area or set up if doing so would create a safety concern.
Vendors may not begin packing, dismantling displays, or leaving before the event closes unless Dilly Dally Market gives permission or an emergency requires it.
Repeated lateness, early departure, cancellations, or failure to attend may result in the vendor not being accepted for future events.
7. Booth Assignments
Booth locations are assigned by Dilly Dally Market based on venue layout, safety, vendor needs, product mix, and event flow.
Requests may be submitted but are not guaranteed. Vendors may not move, switch, expand, or share their assigned space without permission.
Booth maps and assignments may change before or during the event when necessary for safety, accessibility, venue requirements, or event operations.
8. Setup, Displays, and Equipment
Unless otherwise stated, vendors must provide all items needed for their booth, including tables, chairs, tents, displays, signage, extension cords, lighting, payment equipment, and weather protection.
All displays must remain within the vendor’s assigned space. Products, signs, racks, cords, and other items may not block walkways, neighboring booths, entrances, exits, fire equipment, or accessible paths.
Outdoor vendors using a canopy must secure it with appropriate weights on every leg. Stakes alone are not sufficient unless the venue specifically permits them. Dilly Dally Market may require an unsafe canopy or display to be taken down.
Displays must be stable, professional, family-friendly, and safe for customers. Vendors are responsible for securing fragile, sharp, heavy, electrical, or potentially hazardous items.
Vendors may not attach items to walls, doors, floors, landscaping, or venue property without permission.
9. Electricity and Special Accommodations
Electricity is not guaranteed unless it is specifically offered and approved in advance.
Vendors requesting electricity must disclose the equipment they intend to use and its power requirements. High-powered appliances, heaters, generators, cooking equipment, or additional extension cords may require prior approval.
Dilly Dally Market cannot guarantee internet access, cellular service, electrical service, temperature control, or other venue amenities.
Accessibility needs should be communicated as early as possible so reasonable arrangements can be considered.
10. Food and Beverage Vendors
Food and beverage vendors are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all licenses, permits, registrations, insurance, inspections, and food-safety requirements applicable to their business and products.
Food vendors must follow all state, county, city, health department, fire department, and venue rules.
Vendors must provide copies of required documents when requested. Failure to provide required documentation may result in the vendor being unable to participate without a refund.
Samples must be distributed in a safe and sanitary manner. Open flames, cooking equipment, generators, alcohol, and temperature-controlled products require advance approval.
11. Taxes, Permits, and Legal Compliance
Each vendor operates as an independent business and is solely responsible for following all applicable federal, state, county, city, and venue requirements.
Minnesota vendors must provide a completed and accurate ST-19 Operator Certificate of Compliance when required. Vendors participating in Wisconsin or another state must provide any equivalent documentation required for that location.
Vendors are responsible for collecting, reporting, and paying their own sales tax and for maintaining any required business registrations, permits, licenses, and insurance.
Dilly Dally Market does not provide legal, tax, licensing, or insurance advice to vendors.
12. Insurance and Liability
Vendors are responsible for their own products, property, booth, employees, helpers, and activities.
Dilly Dally Market and the event venue are not responsible for theft, loss, injury, illness, property damage, product damage, weather damage, equipment failure, or accidents involving a vendor’s booth, products, staff, or customers.
Vendors are encouraged to maintain appropriate general liability and product liability insurance. Proof of insurance may be required for certain products, services, venues, or activities.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, vendors agree to release and hold harmless Dilly Dally Market, its owner, staff, contractors, partners, sponsors, and host venues from claims arising from the vendor’s participation, except where prohibited by law.
13. Vendor Conduct
Vendors must treat customers, other vendors, venue staff, and Dilly Dally Market staff respectfully and professionally.
Harassment, discrimination, threats, aggressive behavior, intoxication, excessive profanity, unsafe behavior, or disruption of the event will not be tolerated.
Vendors may not criticize, confront, or interfere with another vendor because of pricing, products, booth placement, or perceived competition. Concerns should be brought privately to Dilly Dally Market staff.
Dilly Dally Market may require a vendor to correct a problem or leave the event if the vendor violates these policies or creates an unsafe or disruptive environment. A vendor removed for a policy violation will not receive a refund.
14. Children, Guests, and Pets
Vendors are responsible for the behavior and supervision of all employees, helpers, guests, and children accompanying them.
Children may not be left unattended or allowed to disrupt customers, neighboring booths, event operations, or venue property.
Vendor pets are not permitted unless the event is specifically advertised as pet-friendly and Dilly Dally Market provides advance approval. Trained service animals are permitted as required by law.
15. Cleanliness and Property Care
Vendors must keep their booth clean and orderly throughout the event.
All trash, boxes, food waste, zip ties, displays, and personal items must be removed during teardown. Vendors may not leave unwanted inventory or large amounts of trash at the venue.
Vendors are responsible for damage caused by themselves, their staff, their equipment, or their products. Cleaning, repair, or disposal charges may be billed to the vendor.
16. Marketing and Event Promotion
Dilly Dally Market promotes its events through methods that may include social media, paid advertising, email marketing, vendor features, printed materials, community calendars, media appearances, and partnerships.
Vendors are strongly encouraged to promote the event to their own audience. Vendors should use accurate event details and tag Dilly Dally Market when posting so content can be shared.
Participation does not guarantee a specific amount of promotion, customer traffic, sales, or profit.
Dilly Dally Market is not responsible for a vendor’s individual sales performance.
17. Photography and Video
Photos and videos may be taken during Dilly Dally Markets for promotional, editorial, and archival purposes.
By participating, vendors grant Dilly Dally Market permission to photograph or record their booth, products, signage, staff, and event activities and to use that content in digital and printed marketing without additional payment.
A vendor with a specific privacy or safety concern should contact Dilly Dally Market in writing before the event.
18. Communication
Vendors are responsible for providing a current email address and phone number and for reviewing all event communications.
Important information may include setup instructions, parking directions, booth assignments, weather updates, venue rules, and schedule changes.
Failure to read an email, message, application description, or vendor packet does not excuse a vendor from following the information provided.
Vendors should contact Dilly Dally Market directly with questions instead of relying on information from another vendor or an old event.
19. Policy Violations
Dilly Dally Market may deny participation, remove a vendor from an event, or decline future applications when a vendor:
Provides false or incomplete application information.
Sells unapproved, illegal, unsafe, or counterfeit products.
Fails to submit required documents.
Arrives late, leaves early, or does not attend without proper notice.
Creates an unsafe booth or refuses to follow venue instructions.
Behaves disrespectfully or disruptively.
Violates these policies or applicable laws.
Refunds will not be issued when participation is denied or ended because of a vendor’s violation.
20. Policy Updates
Dilly Dally Market may update these policies as the business, venues, laws, or event requirements change.
The version in effect on the date of the vendor’s application or acceptance will generally apply to that event, unless an immediate update is necessary for safety, legal compliance, or venue requirements.
